MLOps / ML Platform Engineer
Platform engineers building and operating the model serving, evaluation and deployment infrastructure for GCC AI teams.
MLOps and ML Platform mandates have separated from generic data engineering over the last 24 months. Clients now hire for this discipline specifically — engineers who design and operate the model serving layer, the evaluation infrastructure, and the deployment toolchain that AI teams ship on top of.
Most teams are still building this from scratch. Comfort operating without scaffolding is mandatory; preference for engineers who have shipped at least one platform from zero before.
What you'll typically own
- Design and operate model serving infrastructure — vLLM, TGI, KServe, BentoML, or in-house equivalents.
- Build deployment pipelines for ML models — CI/CD for models, including evaluation gates and shadow deployment.
- Operate inference infrastructure at scale, including non-hyperscaler / sovereign GPU clusters.
- Own observability for ML systems — metrics, traces, drift detection, evaluation telemetry.
- Partner with ML engineers on the model lifecycle from experimentation to production.
Profile fit
Must have
- 6+ years engineering, at least 3 on infrastructure or platform teams.
- Direct experience with ML serving infrastructure — not just classical DevOps.
- Kubernetes fluency for ML workloads, including GPU scheduling.
- Comfort with the LLM inference stack (vLLM, TGI, SGLang) or equivalent at-scale serving experience.
- Strong on observability — Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent.
Nice to have
- Experience with sovereign GPU infrastructure (Inception, Core42, on-prem H100 clusters).
- Open-source contributions to ML infrastructure tooling.
- Arabic language capability.
- Prior platform-from-zero work.
